Down in the Hole

Exhibition Description

<Artist’s Statement>

The scar of the left-handed middle finger, which I looked casually at, reminded me of one day when the light that came into the window felt unusually cold. The moment when the yellow, which was moving busily between the bars of the curved shape, and the black eyes met through the hectic gap, lingers around regardless of their will. The sense of the day poured out of the spray truck that was passing by me. The stream flows through the intersecting of people on the crossing, and between colorful but neat landscaping, the smell of grass that rises recklessly. Past memories intertwine with the present, which will become new memories, to create holes. The gap between fillings and emptiness generously embraces the various stimuli flowing around and evokes a sense of “living” here. I mince such an indescribable state of improvising on a piece of paper with a pointed pen tip.
