Endless Ocean

Exhibition Description

Sometimes it’s odd: streetlights, brick houses, buildings that don’t end when you look up, full of coffee shops, jazz music, pops, miniskirts, a man walking around in shoes, and bouncing merchants.

In between, we live on something. Chef, tutor, owner of a coffee shop, Japanese instructor, wife, husband, lover, subordinate, boss.

Sometimes I want to get away from everything and see a landscape with nothing. Especially in summer. It’s a landscape with nothing but everything, beautiful, green, blue, red, fluorescent, and white.

Every place is ruined, the beginning, the end, the death, and the living.

Let’s meet Gassam Ridge at the exhibition in July.

Artist Statement

Andrea Kim: I dreamed of seeing the sea. The next day, I went to the sea of Eulwang-ri for 3 hours. I sat on the beach with a small cushion and saw a deserted landscape. It wasn’t until I went to the sea that I became a figure.

был|оевич: A strange, familiar feeling you feel when facing “future.” Something I’ve never seen, but I think I’ve seen it.

Su-kyung Wang: I went to the sea because of someone and the sea was the one that had three seas that I originally knew. When one sea was over, the next came out, and then another came out. I felt as if I were in a world I had never known before.
